Sandra Robert, founder and writer at SaaSSoftwareReviews.com

Hi, I'm Sandra Robert

I research and write about business software so that people who aren't software experts can make a confident, well-informed decision before they spend money on a tool.

I started SaaSSoftwareReviews.com because I kept seeing the same problem: many "best software" lists are ranked by whoever pays the highest commission, pricing is out of date, and there are no real screenshots to back anything up. I wanted a site where you can see the evidence behind a recommendation, not just take my word for it.

I hold a B.Sc. in Computer Software from the University of Ilorin and have researched and written about business software since 2023. I launched SaaS Software Reviews in September 2026 to compare what business software really costs, checking each figure against the vendor’s own pricing page and dating every source. That background helps me look past the marketing page at how a tool is actually built: how its integrations work, how its plans are structured, and where claims tend to overstate what the software does.

How I research and write

Different articles use different methods, and each article tells you which one it used. In general:

  1. Pricing is checked against the vendor's own pricing page on the date noted in the article, and cross-checked against third-party sources where that helps, such as G2, Capterra, and Vendr. Sources are linked so you can verify them yourself.
  2. I use the product myself where I can, through a free trial, free plan, or demo, and I describe what I did. When I haven't used a tool, for example in a broad roundup, I say so instead of implying hands-on experience.
  3. I capture my own screenshots of vendor pricing pages, product screens, and dashboards, and I date them. Where I use sample data, I label it as sample data.
  4. I note limitations and who a tool is a poor fit for, not only who it suits.
  5. I update articles when pricing or features change, and each article shows a "Last updated" date near the top.

Below is an example of my research process:

A screenshot from one of my own research spreadsheets, where I track how pricing tiers map to team roles and usage. It is part of how I judge whether a tool's pricing makes sense for different team sizes.

How this site makes money

  • Affiliate commissions. I plan to use affiliate links. When I do, and you click one and buy a paid plan, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. I am not yet approved in any affiliate network.
  • Display advertising, such as Google AdSense, if the site is approved. It doesn't display ads yet.

I do not accept payment to write a positive review, and a commission rate has no effect on a tool's ranking or rating. If a product is mediocre, I say so. If a product with no affiliate program is the best choice for a use case, I recommend it anyway.

Corrections and accuracy

Software changes fast. If you spot something outdated or incorrect, please email me at sandraroberts507@gmail.com. I aim to reply within 2 to 5 business days, verify the issue, and correct the article.

What this site is not

I'm one person, not a large editorial team. I'm not a certified IT auditor, and I don't give legal, financial, or compliance advice. My expertise comes from my B.Sc. in Computer Software and my software research and writing since 2023, not from working inside the companies whose products I cover. Please read the Disclaimer and Terms of Service for the limits of what this site offers.
